Real Madrid Foundation Football AvÐÔ°®
We are excited to announce an amazing collaboration between AvÐÔ°® Christi College and the Official Real Madrid Foundation Football AvÐÔ°®.
The Official Real Madrid Foundation Football AvÐÔ°® will be hosted at AvÐÔ°® Christi College from 14 April - 17 April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students and the wider community to elevate their football skills and experience a world-class training programme in Perth. The camp will cover various aspects of football, including strategy, technique, values, fitness, sports psychology, competition, and real game situations.
The camp sessions are open to players and goalkeepers aged 6 to 17 years old regardless of their playing level. On the first day, participants undergo evaluations and are placed in groups based on age and ability, ensuring high quality training sessions.
College families have received an email with more information and a unique discount code. This code is exclusive to AvÐÔ°® students and cannot be shared. The special price for AvÐÔ°® Christi College students is $825 (originally $1155). Limited spots are available. Tickets are available at:
Preloved Uniforms
As the College transitions fully to the new uniforms in 2026, the opportunity to donate your old uniforms becomes a possibility across the College.
Last year the College, along with the Friends of AvÐÔ°® and the Stewardship Student Leaders, investigated how we could recycle/repurpose old uniforms and commenced a pilot program in the Junior School. The response was wonderful and a large number of preloved uniforms were donated to who send uniforms to Nigeria and West Africa.
There are collection points at Student Services, the College Uniform shop and in the James Nestor foyer close to the back entrance of the Uniform shop. We ask that the donations are clean and placed in a bag labelled as a donation. As there are lots of items of uniform coming in and out of the College each day, it is important to clearly distinguish what is a ‘donation’ versus ‘lost property’.
Thank you for your support of this initiative.

Supporting Your Child Through Co-Regulation
Helping children manage their emotions isn’t about telling them to "calm down"— it's about guiding them through connection and support. Co-regulation is the process where adults help children develop emotional regulation skills by modeling calm and responsive behaviour. The Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) highlights the power of co-regulation in building resilience, especially for children who have experienced adversity. By fostering safe, supportive relationships, we equip children with the skills to navigate challenges with confidence. - read more on the blog!
Project Compassion 2025
This Lent, AvÐÔ°® Christi College is uniting to support Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion, standing in solidarity against poverty and injustice. As a faith community, we are called not only to recognise suffering but to take meaningful action—offering our support, prayers, and generosity to those in need.
2025 is a Jubilee Year, a time of renewal, restoration, and justice. Rooted in Scripture, the Jubilee reminds us to reflect on our blessings, restore balance, and extend compassion to those who are vulnerable. As a College, we are embracing this call by grounding our Lenten journey in the Catholic Social Teachings, which inspire us to uphold human dignity, care for creation, and walk in solidarity with those facing hardship.
Our Project Compassion journey began with Pancake Tuesday and Rice Bowl Day, laying a strong foundation for further opportunities to put our faith into action. We encourage all students and families to stay connected through the College calendar and social media for upcoming fundraising events and ways to engage with Project Compassion this Lent.
This year, an online sponsor is currently matching all Project Compassion donations up to $500, doubling the impact of our community’s generosity. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps transform lives.
To make a tax-deductible donation, please visit AvÐÔ°® Christi College’s fundraising portal
Thank you for your continued support in making a difference this Lent.
Best regards,
Damian Ramos
Deputy of Catholic Identity and Mission
The National Assessment Program in Literacy and Numeracy will take place in Weeks 6 and 7 this term. Students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will be assessed in the areas of Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language and Numeracy.
Teachers will have dedicated time before the commencement of NAPLAN to guide students on how to navigate the screen while using the online assessment platform.
Students in Years 5, 7 and 9 are reminded to bring their fully charged devices and headphones on their scheduled NAPLAN days.
We aim to create a seamless assessment experience within a calm and well-structured environment, allowing it to feel like a natural part of the student’s day. Students are encouraged to approach their assessments with confidence and put forth their best effort.

Step back into the 1920s and witness the compelling stories of young women who fought for truth, justice, and the wellbeing of others. As employees of watch factories, these women meticulously painted luminous dials on watches, unaware of the danger hidden in the glow. Their well-paying jobs promised bright futures—until their dreams turned into nightmares as they fell victim to a mysterious and terrifying illness...
This emotionally charged historical tale explores themes of responsibility, workplace safety, and the power of our choices.
